Beauty Industry – Are you ready for Spring? Part 2: Skincare
A spring makeover would never be complete without a new skin care regiment.
With warmer weather comes lighter make-up, fresh colors and minimal coverage allow your skin to really shine. Use lighter cleansers to help grab away make-up and hydrate spring skin, without clogging pores or leaving sticky residue, which can lead to unwanted breakouts.
Arms! Legs! Suns out, they’re out. Well, maybe not just yet, but don’t forget to show them some love. With the weather getting warmer your spring routine isn’t just about your face. Skincare all over your body will help you get rid of dry, flaky winter skin in preparation for the start of summer, using an exfoliating mitt in the shower followed with a moisturizer will give you that extra hydration boost.
For your face skincare, the same rules apply. Get all the effects of a facial the easy way with an exfoliating face scrub, and buff away dead skin cells, which can leave spring skin looking a little dull. Ready. Set. Glow!
The main thing you’ll want to do though is moisturize more. Your skin has been in hiding for months, necks have been hidden under scarves, ears under hats. We often forget these spots, but they can get really dry, dehydrated, and irritated.
After exfoliating, moisturize one more with a rich cream, and switch it out for a lighter non-comedogenic lotion for the new season.
